Unhappy What's your favorite comic written by Geoff?

Geoff's written some GREAT issues in STARS and S.T.R.I.P.E, Hawkman, Avengers, Superman and JSA among others. I was leaning towards JSA #50 but I actually like JSA #55 even more.

I love the small character moments Geoff writes in here that speak volumes of each cast member he has in here. Jay's love for Joan's eggnog and disdain for alcohol, Ted bemoaning that the team doesn't have party animals like Al Pratt and Rex Tyler anymore, Alan excited about spending his first Christmas with his family, Carter being moody as ever with only his mace for company. And IMO, this is the best work of art I've seen Leonard Kirk do in his career. He and Keith Champagne really hit it out of the park in this issue artwise. It all comes together in here. Ever since this issue came out I leave it out on my living room coffee table during the holidays.

Definitely issue #50 is next though. That final page of Hector confronting Mordru rocked da house.

That being said, what's YOUR fave issue of Geoff's???

I absolutely loved Princes of Darkness. I wouldn't shut up when it came out. It honestly gave me that sense of "How the heck are the heroes going to get out of this one?" for the first time in years. Actually he managed that again at the end of the Sinestro Corps special, though it was a bit more organic in JSA. I think that Goyer and Geoff made a very good team.

I'm cheating a bit here and picking the JLA/JSA HC that came out a few years ago. the intereaction between the cast was perfection even the inovative use of powers (Stargirl giving Superman a boost of solor radiation when they are stuck in Dr. Fate's Tower, Green Arrow using Wonder Woman's lasso of truth to get Captain Marvel to say his name, the list of moments that rocked just goes on and on.

I just remembered the Hawkman 2 parter with Green Arrow in it, but that was co-written by Robinson.

Didn't read Avengers, but agree fully with S&S and his early JSA without a doubt his best work in my eyes.

Black Reign. It was one of my first Geoff/JSA comics and it blew me away with its quality and content.

To this day it's one of my favorite comics.

Superman Returns was a great film. DO NOT REBOOT!
