Also got all of Jonathan Hickmans Image books cheap last week. Lots of good stuff still coming from Comixology too. But I don't have to worry about Marvels from now on.

Darkhorse has all of Mind MGMT on sale for $0.99 per issue this weekend. I'd been hearing good things about it so I picked them up. So far, so good!

Read The Prelude to Deadpool Corps #1 via Marvel's free #1s weeks ago.

Not going to creator bash.

I like Liefeld's twitter feed because he tells it like it is.

I actively avoid any comics he draws. I admit I can't draw like him (thankfully). Stick figures for me.

Still, Wade Wilson's depiction of leg pouches appear and disappear for reasons unknown. He first appears with leg bands. Pages later appears to have "gained" leg pouches. Then later "loses" leg pouches and "gains" leg bands again.

Seeing this was my sole enjoyment of the whole comic. And, some art inconsistencies of the female Deadpool: she uses one of her swords, but rear pic shows no holder for the sword just the one sword still in its sheath. Lol!

The Friday deal is for the Ultimates. Are there any stand-out arcs?

The first two series (Ultimates & Ultimates 2) are far and away the best of the lot. Millar's return to the series (when it became Ultimate Avengers) is OK but not on par with the Millar/ Hitch run.

Just avoid anything that has the word "Loeb" on it.

THIS! Exactly this.

The Millar/Hitch stuff is pretty much one of the best super team comic books ever written. Up there with the original Authority and (with a totally different tone) the original JLI.

I have a lot of Ultimates to read via Marvel Unlimited. Yrs ago I read Millar/Hitch's first two series. I enjoyed it.

I avoided Loeb/Mad Ultimates 3. Your recommendation makes me laugh and kinda scared to read Ultimates 3. Lol.

I've generally liked Loeb/McGuinness (& Loeb/Sale collaborations), but haven't read their new Nova.

I got to read a chunk of those Ultimates issues today. You guys gave some solid advice there - it's good stuff.

I already knew to look out for Jeph Loeb, though.

This week, it was DC's turn. I got 1-6 of the current Justice League, and good ol' Identity Crisis.

I consider this big news, not because I read quite a few DH titles. DH digital titles (through its website) give more to its creators because there middleman. Yes, DH gets a cut for selling Dynamite, but I don't see that as a bad thing.

"As a sign of appreciation for its loyal digital subscribers, Dark Horse Digital announces that fifty free first issues from many of its best-selling series will be available for the next forty-eight hours (promotion ends Friday, April 26, at 9 a.m. PST).

"Starting Friday morning and throughout the weekend, Dark Horse Digital is offering 10 percent off all bundles in the web store! And confirmed newsletter subscribers will receive an additional coupon! The newsletter coupon stacks with the bundle discount, offering even greater savings."

A great thing about their New Wednesday Comics newsletter is if they're having a $0.99 Friday-Sunday sale they'll tell what will be on sale.

So, any digital readers surprised to see JUPITER'S LEGACY not available today? Apparently Millar is against same-day-and-date...
