I'm with you. Until proven otherwise, this is just what D.C. has stood for, for a while to me.

Dangling Carrots Comics.

So I'm just going to wait and see.

I'm afraid the Week 4 books look too cool to pass up. It's the JSA... and the Marvel Family... the Freedom Fighters... Infinity Inc... Dick & Helena...

Curse you, DC, for giving me what I wanted!

I would be excited if this event would lead to something in the new 52 universe, like a mixing of old and new characters.this is just a visit to the old world which i can do without.

That's what I'm afraid of, too. DiDio spaeaks of "closure" - if there is such a thing - so it could just be the final nail in the coffin

If so, it would be my final comics closure--if not--a new beginning!

I vote--new beginning.

It's all about the $$$. If there's a noticeable sales spike then they'll find some way to capitalize on it. Look at the post-Watchmen minis, the return of Damian Wayne, etc.

I'll definitely be picking up some of these Convergence books.

And if those are the last DC books I end up getting...well, I'm okay with that.

I imagine that a lot of fans will pick up the books as a way of bidding adieu to DC Comics.

I love the Flash series and I'm thinking of watching Arrow. But DC's comics? Nah!

I would recommend Arrow. And with the new creative team on the Green Arrow comic, they are more and more similar. Check out this review:

I dropped Green Arrow with the first issue of the new team. Hated it.

I like the show to an extent but I don't want the comic to ape it. I liked the Lemire run a lot but this new new new start lost me again.

I think over the years I must have dropped a Green Arrow title more than almost anything else. We keep getting good start followed by bad over and over (although the nu52 did it the other way around with two bad versions before they got to a good one, then back again).

I'm curious about the TV series. As for the comic (and DC's new 52 in general), I'm going to pass. No offense, but I just don't trust the management. It's why I haven't purchased Gotham Academy and Batgirl, despite all the claims about a new "fun" direction. The editor for the Bat-line is one of the people not moving out to CA. With him gone, what'll stop DC from going back to fridges and ripped-off arms?

You are exactly right. This is our chance to vote with our dollars for what we want to see return. I'm tempted to buy 100 issues of the JSA book, but will probably restrain myself. Also geeking out over the E2 Robin & Huntress and Infinity, Inc. books.

Even if this IS just "closure", i.e. the last gasp of the version of the DC characters I enjoy, I'll take closure over the way things just stopped before Flashpoint. "Closure" would have made the New 52 a less bitter pill to swallow for me. I still wouldn't have enjoyed what I read of it, but at least I might not have been quite so nerd-raged about it.

I'm hoping that DC will relaunch some of the characters from Convergence but if this is closure for the old DCU... then I'm done! I'll be culling my DC titles to zero.
