Fate of Aquaman series?

I subscribe to several DCnU titles because I cannot always get to my LCS. Today, I received a letter from DC saying that they will no longer be able to mail Aquaman to subscribers after issue 10. Instead, DC is directing fans to their LCS. Subscribers will receive a credit towards another title. In my case, DC is lengthening my subscription to Justice League using my credit.

Anyone know what's going on?

Well. its certainly ongoing. it was selling better than The X-Men up till A v X started, so sales aren't a problem. Just a subscription thing probably.

I've found them to be quite helpful in answering my sub-related questions

The only thing is it might be a few days before you get a response from a live person (the DC cust serv system sends an automated form letter to confirm your email was received and will be assigned to a CSR shortly after you email them) so you might have to be a bit patient

Maybe it's some deal they've worked up to try to toss a bone to the LCSs. I wonder if their other better-selling titles are, or will, end up as not available for subscription?

I recommend finding a 3rd party subscription service if that's a feasible option for you.

I grew up without an LCS around, so I know how you feel.

That's weird. I wonder why they would do that. How is it they are unable to mail some books out and not others. That seems purely dictated by choice.

Maybe they've decided to rename the series "Aquaman and the Others"? Or "Mera"?

I really hope DC doesn't do something dumb and ruin what's by far the best book of the New 52. It's dissapointing enough what's going on with the main GL and JLA books, then ruining Aquaman would be the final insult.

Personally I'll be fine if DC does drop Aquaman. (I'm so close to dropping it myself. It started off so hot with The Trench but the ending of that just was a waste of reading. Ever since then, it's been barely readable)

Just got another letter from DC saying that the first letter was a mistake. Aquaman is still a subscription title. Not sure if it really was a mistake or they reversed their decision.

I got this type of letter when R.E.B.E.L.S. was ending. Sub was being canceled with 2 issues to go. I contacted DC and they ended up sending me the 2 issues.

Thankfully, AQUAMAN appears to have been an error.
