See? This is a dark ride you've put us on.

I was just thinking they'd explain superheroes by using mitachlorians or whatever they are.

I don't know if this should have its own thread, but it's related...

I think all in all, you will all be happy. Very solid film. Ruffalo did a solid job and I have a new appreciation for Cobie Smulders.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the mid credit scene that sets up the villain in the 2nd move will have to do with the Red Skull. Just a guess on my part but I shall find out this weekend.

I would personally prefer Thanos or Ultron myself. But I think Skull is coming back.

Well, we know who the villain in the second film is going to be. Definitely a biggie!

Yes, Hulk has my favorite parts. At least 3 scenes were really fun.

I hope we get some more big guns in the next film. It seems like it will have a more cosmic bent.

Does anyone know anything about the signing of the film's cast? I'd wager Thor, RDJ and probably Ruffalo are coming back. Any news on a Captain America II?

BEST. SUPERHERO. MOVIE. EVER.

DC should hang their heads in shame for not being able to put out a movie of this caliber.

This is the first time in 2 tries that someone FINALLY gets how the Hulk should be portrayed.

The AFTER-credit scene- BRILLIANT.

The mention of the failed Initiative makes me wonder if they had recruited other heroes first and if they'll show up in the next film. Also, Fury mentioned there had been extraterrestrials before...perhaps Mar-Vel?

And how about that Stan Lee cameo at the end?

Not perfect but pretty damn good.

The pacing was good, it didn't take too long to start and didn't drag any scenes too bad.

Robert Downey Jr. really shines in this film, he delivered a lot of good lines and moments.

Captain America - I was disappointed that he didn't get to do something as devastating as the others during the invasion. But he was awesome in leading the Avengers/NYPD and holding his own during the conflict.

Hulk - Finally got to see him go to 11. It was amazing to see him take down one of the flying creatures down with a punch. Very amusing to see him knock Loki around.

Black Widow - I liked her interrogation scene and how she monologued Loki.

Nick Fury - Well portrayed, feels straight from the comics.

Phil Coulson - While his scenes weren't bad, it wasn't quite what I was hoping for.

Avengers - I liked how they worked as a team rather than just working separately during the film.

Avengers 2 - I rather they keep the team to who they have now unless the other addition(s) make a really good fit.

It definitely is the best superhero movie ever! Can't wait for the DVD and the sequel, I'm not sure how Dark Knight Rises and Spidey are going to compete against a super hero movie that was that perfect but the gauntlet has definitely been thrown down.

Hulk and Hawkeye were great. Loki really stood out for me, he was great in the THOR Movie but he takes the crazy to a whole other level. Great stuff. Hope all who go this weekend stateside enjoy it.
