Two sketches I got at Big City Dare 2 Draw event, Face 2 Face.
I've been hoping to get a sketch of New Blood Razorsharp from Dave Fox for a year now, but I just haven't been able to find good reference material. And when the time came that I managed to refill my printer with color ink, Dave wasn't going to be at the convention I was preparing for. I finally sat down and looked through any DC comics I had from the year the Bloodlines crossover happened. So, this is now a reality. ![]() Here's my sixth sketch from Ian Dorian. This is Vesper, a guilty pleasure of mine (not like THAT). In 2007, or 2006 I think, my dad had given me some old comics he got at a flea market being held at the nursing home he, we, work at. Vesper was the titular heroine of a short lived 90s comic series. The artwork wasn't that great in the first miniseries, and the book was cancelled after the second issue of its main series, but I always liked Vesper's design. ![]() |

I got this for my dad for his birthday. He was the one that got me into comics. He used to collect Thor and Superman.

Ok right now I have two commissions that I am waiting on. The first is Gambit and Rogue by Clay Mann. Clay just did the artwork on the mini-series Magneto: Not a Hero. He said I should have it by the end of the month. The second is Voltron by Alex Milne. He is currently working on the Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye series. He said it might take a while, because he is the long term artist for this series and he does both pencils and inks.

Two sketches I got at today err yesterdays New York Comic Book Marketplace.
Tomorrow Woman by George Perez (!!!) ![]() It was quite a wait on the line for it. I'd say almost two hours since so many had been on line when I finally got to the show but well worth it I'd say. Happy to finally see a rendition of her by him (barring her small panel appearances in JLA/Avengers) Sadly waiting on the line certainly took its toll as I was only able to get one more sketch but it was another beauty so all's well. Cythonna the Kryptonian Goddess of Ice and Death (from Superman: Last God of Krypton) by David Quiles ![]() Having only discovered her a while ago I was hoping to get a neat rendition of her. And I thought Mr. Quiles would do a great job since his pieces tend to have an interesting balance between darkness and light which I figured would be nice for Cythonna who was beautiful but unbelievably evil. |

And while I'm at it I'll also mention three OA purchases I made all featuring the Cir-El Supergirl including her "death" page.

Cythonna really turned out beautiful. I want to get a Quiles piece myself, but I would have to prepare for the struggle of scanning a two-page commission.
Here are some of my other sketches from the Marketplace. Amy Reeder was a last minute addition to the show, and she did a quick Madame Xanadu sketch for me. ![]() Sean Chen did this headsketch of Hourman for me. ![]() Jim Calafiore did a Penguin piece. ![]() |

Guy Dorian provided for me Mary Mayhem, the evil version of Mary Marvel from "Crisis on Two Earths". Well, the other version of Mary. No one told Jerome K. Moore Superwoman was Mary Marvel until after he finished this design, so they had to recolor her when she finally appeared on that computer screen.
![]() Billy Tucci did a Sailor Moon villain for me. Here's Sailor Galaxia from the fifth season, as she appeared in the last episode. Billy added a sad quality to her, which matches with her true nature. Well, her true nature in the anime. ![]() |
