I think it was lost before the relaunch, actually. Johns dropped his Conner Kent stories for Adventure when he was elected King of DC and as far as I know, Lemire is continuing with a couple of the characters Johns created but not following story notes or anything.

I seems to me that Project Alien Farm would depend on portions of current continuity that aren't likely to apply after The Change.
