I hope by the end of it the new character gets a better, more streamlined costume. I really really like the idea of it, and I like the costume looks a bit amateurish in some ways (which fits the character), but I'd prefer more of a cowl mask than just one giant mask just covering the face.

Of course, that is if the new character sticks around.

I'm pretty sure the character is sticking around as I'm certain I read that Smith is following this mini with a solo mini starring that character.

It's been 4 issues so far and I'm still not sure if I am enjoying this series. I don't hate it but I feel like it is FAR from Kevin Smith's best work. Bruce just seems so out of character at times.

But, am I the only one that wonders if the story might be made up to gain Bruce's sympathy?

I enjoyed it, and it makes me miss the old Batman status quo a bit because I liked how Smith wrote Tim Drake Robin.

And I have to say, I'm liking the new character more and more, I just wish he had a new mask and better name. In the first few issues, I really thought for sure he was going to be a bad guy pretending to be a good guy to get at Batman, but now he seems like the a 'real' new hero for the DCU.

It's Resurrection Season, so I'm bringing this thread back because I just had an awesome thought. I read Batman Cacophony just now, and in the last issue, well, it gives a big a ol' clue on where everything is headed. I could give it all away right now, but I just can't. If you want to know, read the last issue of Cacophony, and the latest issue of Gyre, specifically the last page. Oh, man, it's so obvious now.

Let's just say, I was right on my first impression, and I'm surprised no one else has pointed it out, but I really only check this board, so who knows.
