"Action Comics," "Adventure Comics" and "Batman: Streets of Gotham" will swap out their currently running co-features for serials starring different heroes from the DC Universe....In the case of books like "Action," "Adventure" and "Streets of Gotham," DiDio said that some of the current stories had run their course within the books they were assigned, but that all was not over for characters like Captain Atom and Manhunter. "Each one of those characters will find different homes moving ahead in the new year. It's not that any of these characters are falling by the wayside. They will be moving into different series, just not their own title series, similar to what Blue Beetle is going through."

As much as I love Kate, I will not follow her to a non-Bat book (the only DCU books I read are Bat-related). I guess this means I'll have to start collecting her adventures in trades.

It's entirely possible that she could be in a reformed BOP, or Batgirl if that's where they end up appearing, or she could possibly be in the Streets main feature since the goal of the book is to alternate lead stories with the various Gotham characters throughout.

It will be interesting to see how Manhunter's departure affects sales.

I've been buying Streets of Gotham just for Kate. When she's finished in the book so am I. The main story has left me bored and uninterested. I'm not even sure I read it the last time it came out.

It's been a pain to pay $4.00 for the back up, but Manhunter has been such a good read, and I've enjoyed Marc's storytelling that much. Lately I've been looking at dropping the book because of the cost, but i'll stay on till Kate is done now...

Judging from the responses here, it looks like Streets is going to take a huge hit when the Manhunter backup leaves. I know I'll be gone when Kate goes. I picked the book up solely for Manhunter and while I tried to get into Dini's story, it just didn't grab me.

From the looks of that other thread, it looks like Manhunter will be shuffled off into a team book or something that's not written by Marc. So sad.
Why did he lose Manhunter again when it seemed to be doing so well in Streets? And why would DC do this to the fans AGAIN?

I'll pick up Manhunter wherever the book goes but I'll likely drop Streets of Gotham.

While I've liked the Streets of Gotham stories okay, I'm not sure I've liked them enough to continue when Manhunter leaves...guess I'll re-evaluate it when it gets to that point.

I'll follow Kate, but be dropping Streets as Manhunter was the only reason I was picking it up.

Once the Mr. Zsasz story is done, and Manhunter is over, this book and I shall part ways.

What a shame, I'll be reading the book until her departure but only just, Kate's been the main attraction to me.

I'm feeling very much the same way as most of my fellow 'bloc members here.

I was purchasing Streets of Gotham mainly for the Manhunter co-feature. I normally really enjoy Paul Dini's work, but it's just felt very hit-and-miss for me on this title. I have high hopes for Dini's Zatanna series however.

So it looks like I'll be dropping this book when Manhunter is gone as well.

Yeah, generally how I feel. Loved both Paul's Detective and Marc's Manhunter - but as time has passed drawn more to the Manhunter feature. Really, really enjoyed Paul's work with Zatanna - so hoping this book is as good as expected.

I wouldn't follow Kate to a non-Andreyko series. Her appearances in Birds of Prey weren't as good as her solo appearances.

This is sad news because now it seems even less likely that we'll get a Manhunter OGN dealing with the abortion storyline.

Taking it too personally, I think. Not all of these were planned to last forever, and some of them have to be removed to make room for other characters. Remember that the purpose of these is to give characters with stories to tell but not the audience for their own book a chance to shine.

Um, I'm talking about cancelling Manhunter for, what is this, the fifth time? Stop jerking us around, DC!
