Great preview. I think To's art is going to get people noticing this great book.

I was just getting used to Bach's art. To's style is nice, but I think the art that goes with Red Robin should be darker.

This issue takes place following the events in the Blackest Night Batman stuff (sorry, not following it).

Tim as International Man of Intrigue works better than I ever expected.

The new artist begins this issue, but I didn't notice much of a difference between him and Bachs. Then again, I didn't have a problem with Bach's work.

I don't like that Tim's romantic interest is named Tam. TimTam? WTF?

Art was nice, but I felt Tim in costume seems to have lost a lot of bulk than he was portrayed as earlier, he seems much slimmer than previously portrayed. More his Robin body-type than his Red Robin body-type (if that makes sense).

Can someone explain why I thought Vicki Vale was dead? I could have sworn she died in Bruce Wayne: Murderer and all that hooterall, am I thinking of someone else and if so whom?

That was Vesper Fairchild.

Vicki Vale has been around in the Batverse again since very recently. Around Battle for the Cowl.

Ah thank you. Who is Vesper Fairchild? Man for some reason I thought Vicki Vale had been around for a lot longer, I guess that's what happens when you step in and out of the Bat-universe as much as I have (I have only regularly followed Tim as a character, Batman not so much).

Vesper Fairchild: Fairchild's relationship with Bruce Wayne was established during Doug Moench's second run on Batman in the 1990s. A radio show host who left Gotham after the "No Man's Land" crisis, Fairchild was later killed by David Cain on orders from Lex Luthor.[69]

Vesper Fairchild first came to prominence as a night-time radio talk show host in Gotham City. She first met Bruce Wayne (Batman) as a guest on her show - which resulted in a more personal relationship.
After a massive earthquake stuck Gotham City and it was declared a "No Man's Land" by the federal government, Fairchild left the city to start a career as a journalist. When she returned to the revitalized city she once again continued a romantic relationship with Wayne.

I liked the issue and thought the art was great. My only complaint is the same as last month. The constaint flashback scenes tend to take me away from the story a bit.

The whole "then" "now" "before" "now" thing becomes very distracting to me for some reason. This is my first exposure to Yost's writing and I think he is a good writer and really understands Tim's character.

A question for those of you more familiar with his work than I am. Does he always use flashbacks like this or is this just something he is doing in this book? I noticed he did it in his issue of Streets of Gotham too.

Not bad. The art's solid, and is a step-up.

I don't have too much to say, other than the idea of a rival group of assassins with a super-villain spider theme is fun. You'd half expect to see a new (or old) Tarantula or Black Spider.

Never did I think Lucius Fox's daughter would be in the middle of the crazy assassin-on-assassin action, but there it is. Weird, but interesting.

Readable, but not as good as the previous issues. Felt a little scattered and a little bland.

Good issue and Marcus To's art looked great and was a good fit for the book.

I really dug all the plot twists throughout the issue, that no matter how smart Tim was, the Spiders still out thought everyone and the cliffhanger is a real nailbiter!

I liked the inclusion of Vicki Vale in the book too which might add another interesting sub-plot to the book.

Think of the possibilities with Vicki snuggling up to Tommy Elliot.
