Decent issue. I ike the characterisation of Stephanie and was very happy to see the villain revealed on the last page!

But, while I can understand her reservations, I am tired of Barbara being portrayed so angry lately. Her brief scenes in the Blackest Night mini with Commisioner Gordon was better than almost anything featuring Babs this year in my opinion.

Anyone else tired of depressed, dickish Babs and hoping she turns around in this series to the confident, competent character she was under Ostrander, Dixon, and Simone?

Yes!

I also agree with oddballuk...Babs' pages in Blackest Night were really well done. (Along with her recent awesome cameo in the Manhunter back-up in SoG.) Angry Babs isn't my cup of tea.

I think they are trying to get across that Babs thinks Stephanie is rubbing her disabilty in her face. I don't really like it though.

But...I have yet to get that sense from Steph.

I just think that they wanted to make her moodier, probably when they decided to have a lighter Batgirl, in order to make her more like Bruce to have that "iconic" dynamic. And used the Joker fight to set it up. Which was ******** anyways. I'm not even mad that Babs lost that fight. I could have bought that easily...if the fight were say 10 or 15 pages longer and had a nice ebb and flow to it. Babs is a competent fighter, even from the chair. Ostrander and Dixon established that pretty early on. What the **** happened to that?

I don't have any familarity with Steph but I'm quite liking this so far so I guess I'll stay in for a while. Barb taking over the Batcave is a nice idea - and I'm looking forward to the Batgirl/Supergirl teamup in World's Finest #3 as welll.

I'm nervous for World's Finest #3...the solicitation makes it sound like Batgirl and Catwoman are enemies, but that completely goes against the friendship they formed during War Games.
