Well I'm lukewarm about #1. I'm indifferent to the idea of Stepth as Batgirl, though i did like Cass. I'll give it the first storyarc or so, I always like to give comics with a female lead a good chance.
Although Babs has to lighten up.

So, the real question is, did Cass bring a change of clothes with her, or did she just sort of bound across the rooftops in her underwear after handing off the costume? And are there any plans to examine this further in a future issue?

Well, if Outsiders was anything to go buy, she might not have been wearing undies at all.

Do you think Violet, introduced during Chuck Dixon's 2008 Robin run, could/should/would become the new Spoiler one day?

<Shrug> Sure, why not. I mean, I don't think we know anything about her - but that's actually a plus in this situation, because it means that her character is still up in the air for whoever wants to craft a decent backstory for her. ...What do we know about her, incidentally?

I really liked issue one. Even though Cass is my favourite Batgirl, I like Steph a lot from her time as Spoiler, so I'm happy to see her 'graduate', and I'm pleased that Cass, Steph and Barb will all seemingly play a part in the series going forward.

That said, I hate the new Batgirl costume so much, I might drop the book. It's beyond ugly. Beyond fugly. It's.... cugly. And if you what the 'f' in fugly stands for, you should be able to work out which 'ing' word the 'c' in cugly stands for....

Cugly is a combination of cute and ugly. Check out Urban Dictionary.

Just you wait 'til Grant Morrison hops on the title. He'll bring back Steph's baby as a murderous little brat, then ultimately have her evolve into Batgirl's sidekick.

Uh...was Stephanie's kid a girl or a boy? It was a while ago; I don't actually remember.

...I can guess, but it's not a word that's generally used in verb form on this side of the Atlantic. Not that I've heard, anyway.

Cass' Batgirl suit has some odd properties, if you think about it. I mean, originally, it was worn by Huntress, who then handed it over to Cassandra. And somehow, it fit her perfectly, even though she's, like, at least a foot shorter than Helena and considerably less curvy. Then Cass hands it off to Spoiler, and, again, it fits right away, even though Steph is a different size than Cass, and has long hair. This ain't Marvel, where that kind of thing is explained by everyone wearing some kind of magic fabric designed by Mr. Fantastic. It's kind of a puzzler. ...Eh. Comics. What are ya gonna do.

I think Steph had a daughter, but not certain.

And, heh, "c***ing" is probably the most offensive curse word over here. You Americans, with your sidewalks and soda....

All we know is anecdotal from her few appearances. She's kinda a punky chick. She likes the color purple (though I don't know if she likes the movie "The Color Purple" ). And it sounds like she was forced into becoming a theif by circumstances beyond her control.

I suppose we've been missing a purple thief in these books ever since Catwoman changed her costume.
