Which lends credence to the idea that she'll probably be getting a new name. If she's in Streets, then we know she's not really going anywhere. And I doubt they'd do a heel turn with her again since it was such a disaster the first time. So it looks like she's moving on to a new name, and hopefully striking out with an identity beyond the Bats (ala Dick moving on to Nightwing). Maybe now I can get to see Kasumi since I missed out the first time.

edit: I sent a message to Dan just asking about it. Not really so much where she's going, but just asking if she's going to be a non-costumed supporting character or if she's moving on to a new name (that way it's something he can probably at least hint at). I also of course told him that I'm glad she still has some presence in the immediate future, and that while I'll be happy either way so long as she still has some presence in the DCU, I'd prefer her moving on because I think it's the better chance for character growth

Cass was a bit of a stretch for being in the Bat Family, if you took her from the beginning and substituted Richard Dragon in for Batman, her story makes more sense. Doesn't sell as well, but makes more sense.

No, you can't substitute Richard in for Cass. He is an older man; the relationship between him and Batman, Oracle, Spoiler, Robin, etc., would be completely different. Which just goes to show, there's more to any character than their abilities...

I agree with you. IMHO she never was a good fit with the Bat Family.
