I'm still wondering how Dark Side has control of the Omega Sanction. I thought Mister Miracle more or less reprogrammed him in his SS mini.

It was a simulation that Metron inflicted on Shilo during all the time he was trapped in the event horizon of the black hole, to initiate him to the "mysteries of the new gods".
But with Metron powers and technology, this simulation may have certainly been totally accurate, and so if he was able to escape the simulated Omega, he would be able to do it in reality.
The same he learned how to overcome Anti Life during this experience.

Basically with this initiation, Metron intent was to make him their champion, so he could wake them up to their 5th world status.

But, we have always known that Metron had his own agenda, that for him what is more important is knowledge, so if he must do evil to satisfy his fanatical search for more knowledge, he will do without any hesitation.

Metron is directly responsible for Darkseid gain of the boom tube technology by example.

Maybe Morrison has retconned Metron into being a good guy, but if he has wrote the same Metron as Metron has always been before, this guy is not to be entirely trusted.

But anyways, after that, what happened in Seven Soldiers #1, Shilo giving his life in exchange of Aurakles freedom , getting shot in the head by Darkseid then resurrecting by escaping death happened.

Perhaps he's piloting a replicated physical form within the Omega Sanction. Crispy here, perfectly OK there.
