Default Need a straight answer

J.,I heard they were going to cancel TTG! to make room for Tiny Titans, the reason being because the heroes are in too much risk in TTG! and that might be scaring some kids away,or something along those lines. Then I heard they were going to keep TTG! and try to run Tiny Titans at the same time. Can you give me a straight answer either way?

Thank you. I'm relieved about that. I know there's been threats of cancelling TTG! for awhile now,but the fans have kept it alive so far. I thought this might have been the time we failed.

Yeah, that's the problem. The last I heard J. say was like 2 or 3 months ago,and he said that we got at least until #50

I think J. is at WizardWorld Chicago.

Give him time to get back home and recover from the con before you start barraging him with questions.

Unfortunately, both Teen Titans Go and JLU are being cancelled to make way for the 2 new series of Tiny Titans and Super Friends.

Here's the link: http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=124773

And the quote from Jann Jones:
NRAMA: Before we get too far into things, how will these titles fit within the Johnny DC imprint as it stands? Will they be additions, replacements, or something else?

JJ: We’re going to be losing Teen Titans Go! and Justice League Unlimited in the line that I know of. These titles won’t exactly be replacements for those two, though, they’re something completely different.

The floggings will continue until morale improves.

KTB is right...

Kevin, at the end if the article it says,,,

UPDATE: DC Comics has contacted Newsarama to state that Teen Titans Go! has NOT been canceled. Jones misspoke in the interview.

Unfortunately, you didn't read my post which stated the answer was at the bottom of that article. As Stormking pointed out, TTG! is not currently slated for cancellation.

Hello, everyone. Just got back from Chicago and slept in this morning

Anyway, there seems to be some confusion over the whole cancellation thing and I'm hoping to have a phone conversation with someone at DC to clarify this. Before the con, and the announcement of the new Johnny DC books, it was my understanding that we had until "at least #50" for TTG. Meaning, yes, the series was to be cancelled but we weren't exactly sure when. However, after the Newsarama piece and DC panel on Saturday it seems a number of fans approached Dan DiDio and Jann Jones with their objections about the cancellation... and before the weekend was over, I was hearing the book was not cancelled anymore!

But this could have been Jann and Dan relenting to the mob or making a snap decision or who knows what. I'm hoping it's true, but I need specifics (not cancelled until a certain issue number? until Tiny Titans debuts in 2008? until further notice?) and some kind of "official" word before I celebrate

In any case, I do want to thank ALL the fans out there who have been writing letters and e-mail, and those who "attacked" Dan and Jann this weekend, in a show of support for TTG. Paul Levitz himself congratulated me at the DC dinner for "inspiring such passionate and dedicated fans" and invited me to drop by his office anytime to check out all the letters and cards he's received from fans trying to save TTG. So, thanks guys, you rock harder than Terra. (Get it? Get it? Hee-hee.)

*blinks* wow, this gets more and mroe confusing. Hopefully we'll hear more soon. But you're very welcome. TTG! is a great book, and I'd hate to see it go. Besides,it's the only connection us fans of the show have to it since WBHV likes to take their sweet time releasing the DVD's(and even then, there's onloy two more left)

I did my best to harass Jann when she spoke up about it at the panel. I saw her walking around the convention floor and briefly spoke to her and she had already stated that she had heard from many fans already and would inform DC about how fans were upset about this. Hopefully, we have a long run left in TTG!

Or at least long enough to warrant more Jinx/KF fluff and some more School Girl Terra appearances
