Official Rules for 52: The Contest

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO WIN.

PRIVACY: Entrant Information is not collected for marketing, advertising, or any form of contact beyond means required for the fulfillment of this contest.

ELIGIBILITY: Contest is open to legal residents of the U.S. and Canada. Entrants must be at least 13 years of age or older as of date of entry. Employees and immediate family of DC Comics and its respective parent companies and Official Members of either SilverBulletComicBooks.com (SBC) or ComicBloc.com (moderators, writers, administrators, editors, designers and artists) are not eligible. All Entrants must have a valid email address.

SPONSORS: SilverBullet Comic Books (SBC) and ComicBloc.
Prizes provided by DC Comics.

CONTEST FOR BOTH PRIZES END: 12:01am + 7 days following the Sale Date of the Final Issue of 52.

AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES: By participating in this contest, each entrant fully and unconditonally agrees to the rules and accepts these rules and the decisions of the sponsors and prize administrators as final and binding in all matters related to the contest. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling ALL requirements of the rules.

HOW TO ENTER:
1) Read as many clues as possible for guessing the correct answer. These clues are revealed as part of 52 Reviews on both SilverBulletComicBooks.com and ComicBloc.com. Each review contains a different clue, and each clue is the same answer.
2) Visit this contest page, and answer the questions. This page is refreshed weekly after reviews, but the URL does not change.
3) Complete all the fields on the form. All fields are required, and must be filled for the entry to be accepted.
4) To be eligible for the total overall prize (a) tallying, each entry must be submitted by 12:01am EST of the Sale Date of the next week’s issue.
5) To be eligible for the random prize (b), an entry must be submitted by 12:01am EST of the Sale Date + 7 days following publication of the final issue of 52, the series.
6) LIMIT ONE (1) ENTRY PER PERSON OR EMAIL ADDRESS PER WEEK. In the event of duplicate entries from a person or email address, subsequent entries will be deleted. In the event of dispute, all entries will be deemed made by the registrant of the email address for that entry.
7) NO ENTRY for prior weeks is allowed past the cut-off period for that respective week.
8) Potential winners may be required to show proof of being the registrant of the email account.

PRIZE (a) WINNING GUIDELINES:
1) Each entry must have all fields filled out according to the agreement above.
2) Each correct entry (up to 1 per week) will give the account holder ONE (1) Point. Incorrect entries do not remove points.
3) At the end of the contest, points are tallied (up to 1 per week) per entrant. The entrant with the most points will win. In the event of a tie, a RANDOM drawing will take place. The random drawing will be final.

PRIZE (b) WINNING GUIDELINES:
1) Each entry must have all fields filled out according to the agreement above.
2) Following completion of the contest, ONE (1) entry per week per entrant will be entered into a RANDOM drawing (up to 17 chances to enter). The entry does not need to have the correct entry to be eligible. The RANDOM drawing will be final.

Entries will be ineligible if they are corrupted, do not meet ALL the specified requirements or are not able to be viewed due to technical error, error in transmission or reasons beyond control of the Sponsors or judges, or subjects.

If an eligible minor, the entrant acknowledges they have the written consent of his or her parent or legal guardian. All Entries become the property of the Sponsors and will not be acknowledged nor returned under any circumstances. Upon request of Sponsors, Entrant will provide a copy of any written consent as required above.

PRIZES:
ONE (1) of each prize is to be awarded at the end of the contest. The winner of PRIZE A is ineligible for Prize B. Prizes are provided by DC Comics and shipped as-is. Neither SBC nor ComicBloc makes any guarantee as to their condition.

A) ONE (1) Copy of Issue One of 52, signed by the creators. ‘The Creators’ are agreed upon and decided by DC Comics prior to delivery to SBC and ComicBloc. Neither SBC nor ComicBloc guarantees as to the quantity or totality of identities of the creators.

B) ONE (1) complete run of 52 (one issue each of the 52 issue series).

PRIZE RESTRICTIONS:
All expenses and costs related to acceptance of and taking prize not expressly listed above including, but not limited to, shipping, insurance, with any required documentation and all personal expenses of any kind or nature are the responsibility of winner. Prizes may not be transferred or assigned. No cash or other substitution may be made, except by the Sponsors, who reserve the right to substitute the prize in whole or in part with another prize of comparable or greater value if the intended prize is not available for any reason as determined by the Sponsors in its sole discretion. Winners will be responsible for all applicable taxes (not limited to federal, state, provincial, territorial or local and/or income) on prizes.

PRIZE WINNER NOTIFICATION AND VERIFICATION: Potential Winners will be contacted via their email address and be asked to provide phone numbers and mailing addresses. If a potential winner is an eligible minor, at Administrator discretion, an Affidavit/Release must be confirmed and signed by his/her parent or legal guardian.
Failure to timely return any required executed documents may cause prize to be forfeited and awarded to an alternate as solely determined by Administrator. If any prize is refused, a prize notification is returned or deemed undeliverable, or a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, an alternate prize winner will be selected. Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Sponsors to use in perpetuity winnerâ name, age, statements and other personally identifiable information for promotional, advertising and marketing purposes in any media throughout the world without additional prize, incentive, consideration, consent or review; and upon request, winner will provide written consent to such use.

GENERAL CONDITIONS / RELEASE: By participating, entrants (and if an eligible minor, their parents or legal guardians) (a) release Contest Entities, their respective directors, officers, agents and employees and DC Comics, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies and their respective shareholders, officers, directors, employees, members, agents and assigns from any and all liability for any claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by their participation, including the unauthorized or illegal access to personally identifiable or sensitive information or the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of the prize; (b) if the prize winner, except where prohibited by law consents to the use by Sponsors of winnerâ name, statements and other personally identifiable information for promotion, advertising and marketing purposes in any media throughout the world without additional consideration and consent or prior review, and upon request will provide written consent to such use; and© acknowledge that said parties have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative to a prize including, but not limited to, its quality or availability. Neither Contest Entities nor any service providers are responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of Entry information, or for any human or other error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data or voice transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access any online service or Website or to complete a telephone call or facsimile transaction, or any other error or malfunction, or late, lost or misdirected mail, or any injury or damage to participantâ or any other personâ computer related to or resulting from participation in this Contest. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE, TAMPER WITH THE ENTRY PROCESS, OR OTHERWISE UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSORS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO COOPERATE IN THE PROSECUTION OF ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL AND TO PURSUE ALL REMEDIES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. If for any reason the Contest is not capable of being executed as planned, or infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, action of entrants, technical failures or any other causes which in the opinion of Administrator and/or Sponsors, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, Administrator reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any suspect Entry or entrant and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. In the event of any cancellation, termination or suspension, notice thereof will be posted at www.comicbloc.com and www.silverbulletcomicbooks.com, and the determination of the Grand Prize winners will be made, from among all eligible, non-suspect Entries received as of the date of the termination, cancellation or suspension, as Administrator determines in its sole discretion. Entries not complying with all rules are subject to disqualification.

WINNERS: Pending completion of the contest, and decision and accpetance of a winner, winners will have their names posted at both www.comicbloc.com and www.silverbulletcomicbooks.com.
